After a prolonged delay, the date for Eatonia’s Centennial celebrations is drawing near. Those planning to attend have marked off July 1-3 on the calendars when the festivities occur.

Without our volunteers, we wouldn’t have some of the programs that many communities rely on today. It’s an excellent opportunity to highlight community programs and remember the heritage of volunteerism passed down to us throughout the past decades.

The Eaton Board of Trade was founded in 1918, only weeks after the first settlers arrived on the present townsite.

In 1920, just after the village of Eatonia was incorporated, a weekly newspaper called the Eatonia Enterprise went to print.

The Eatonia Centennial Committee is “serious this time!” They are going ahead with their Centennial celebrations in 2022!
