WRITTEN NOTICE OF THE DECLARATION OF A FIRE BAN FOR THE TOWN OF KINDERSLEY

PURSUANT TO BYLAW 04-23, BEING A BYLAW ESTABLISH, MAINTAIN AND OPERATE A FIRE DEPARTMENT

EFFECTIVE DATE: June 4, 2025

Please be advised that due to generally dry conditions in the area, an increased risk of fire has been assessed for the Town of Kindersley. Consequently, a ban has been placed on all private and public lands within the geographic boundary of the Town of Kindersley for the following:

1. open-air fires;

2. chimeneas;

3. propane or natural gas fueled open-air fire pits, fire bowls, fire rings, fire tables, fireplaces, chimeneas, or any other outdoor-living, open-air fire appliances, even if equipped with a shut-off valve;

4. candles, torches, citronella candles, tiki torches, flame lit incense burners or essential oil burners;

5. solid fuel barbeques, grills, or similar outdoor cooking appliances.

A barbeque, grill, or similar outdoor cooking appliance fueled by propane or natural gas and equipped with a shut-off control valve are permitted.

This Declaration of a Fire Ban is in effect immediately and shall remain in effect until such time that the Fire Ban has been rescinded.
